On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared that COVID-19 was a global pandemic, indicating the significant global spread of an infectious disease. This deadly disease has caused led millions of people to death. Up until now, the covid-19 pandemic still hasn’t ended but becoming more contagious than ever.
Let's just think for a second. Why do the Covid-19 become a deadly pandemic? Is it because God wants to give us an ordeal? Or because this pandemic is a natural disaster? In this blog, I am going to give my personal opinion on this question.
We all know that the Covid-19 epidemic outbreak emerged in December 2019 from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, and spread to the rest of the world. At the beginning of the outbreak, not of of all the people believed this disease. Thus, the covid-19 virus easily spread around China and other countries. When humans finally realized that the Covid-19 is true, it is too late to change the situation.Covid-19 has already spread around the world using its powerful strength.
On top of that, political issues have also lead to the outbreak of Covid-19. When China has already announced that they have a highly contagious disease spreading across their country, only a few countries lend a helping hand to them. This situation truly tells us that we are not even ready for the Covid-19 pandemic because the world is not even united! The main reason that the Covid-19 can easily spread across the world is because of the selfishness of humans.Covid-19 taken this chance to intrigued our beloved mother earth.JK Rowling once quoted: We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided. The Covid-19 pandemic will never end unless the world is united.
Thirdly, countries around the world are not aware of the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic when it is break up in China. Let's just think about it, if countries strengthen their flight restrictions and launched prevention measures in the early situation, the covid-19 pandemic will never break up uncontrollably like nowadays. This will give ampere of time to scientists to develop the vaccine efficiently. However, most of the countries only started to start the precaution of Covid-19 when the virus has already spread to the whole country. This lead to the explosive of the Covid-19 pandemic.
We cannot change the past but we can decide our future. We can decide whether to continue the current situation or to improve it. Covid-19 will give us the response to the decision that we made.
